How much does it cost to have my swimming pool cleaned?
You will be surprised at how cost effective having a regular swimming pool cleaning service is. There is just a small charge for the visit and you only pay for the chemicals that are used. Is it worth having a pool cleaning service?
Is it worth it? That is a question many home owners asked when it became fashionable to have some one come and mow their lawns. Just imagine for a moment, it is Friday night, lovely and sunny, you get home from work and some friends come around to make use of your pool. The last thing you want to do is vacuum the pool, do a chemical test and balance. You just want to welcome your friends in, crank up the BBQ and dive in that pool, right? So…. YES IT IS WORTH IT!
Do I have to be there when you come?
It is up to you. The first time we come it can be helpful to show us where everything is. However, we look after so many pools that it has become instinctive for us to find everything we need.
How do I pay?
After each visit, before we leave we email you an itemized invoice of what has been done and you simply pay by making a bank transfer.
Do I have to do anything between visits?
It is important that the pool water is kept at an optimum level for efficient running of the filtration system and that the basket is kept free of debris. Depending on the time between visits and the weather you may have to attend to these two things.
What if I just want a one off swimming pool clean?
It is not uncommon for one off valets. In these cases the charges are the $40 water testing fee plus our hourly rate of $75 incl GST, you will be sent an itemized invoice including time, chemicals used etc. Also if your pool is outside of our normal working area of the New Plymouth District there will be a mileage charge of 89 cents per kilometre.
Can I provide my own chemicals?
To ensure consistency in quality we provide all the chemicals needed for your pool. Chemicals are sold at RRP (Recommended Retail Price) and we provide only what you need, often meaning you save money.
Do you also service spas?
Spas can be serviced for our regular pool valet customers. Which will incur an additional service fee of $40 Inc GST plus chemicals.
Do I take a break from my regular valets during winter?
This is not recommended as the additional time and chemicals required to return your pool to a serviceable condition at the start of summer, can prove costly. We offer a fortnightly or monthly valet option in winter to keep your pool ticking along until the warmer months come around again.
